Acufit Health & Wellness

My Acupuncture business is now open and currently taking bookings.  Please contact me on the email address  below to book an appointment or to make an enquiry.

The treatments I provide consist of a combination of the following disciplines: Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Acupuncture, Five Element Acupuncture, Fire Cupping and Guasha.

One of the oldest styles of healthcare, Chinese Medicine focuses on the individual; treating the root cause of illness in order to restore the body's natural balance and smooth flow of Qi (or vital energy).

My treatment room is located in the beautiful location of Mycore Pilates, situated in the historic market town of Hitchin, North Hertfordshire.

My Story

James Middlebrook BSc (Hons) Lic Ac  FEA AAC

I founded AcuFit Health & Wellness Clinic in 2020.  Having received Acupuncture treatment for a number of years, for mainly sports related injuries I was intrigued how this tiny little needle could help my recovery from my injuries. It sparked my interest in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, an interest that got bigger and bigger and led me on a journey of learning and discovery.

I trained at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine (CICM), Reading, where I completed 3,500+ hours of training. My training was ‘Integrated’ and combines both Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Five Element Acupuncture styles.

Following successful completion of this rigorous four-year course, I was awarded a BSc Honours degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.

I am accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board (BAAB) and I am a professional member of the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians (AAC).

I ensure that I continue my professional development, through attending conferences and Continued Professional Development courses both at CICM and other acupuncture training establishments.

I am fully licensed by North Herts District Council.
